  【目標】
  1)To improve students' theme-based vocabulary， so they will be able to comprehend reading selections and discuss them with other students.
  2)To build critical-thinking and self-reflection skills， so students will be able to better express their own opinions， based upon facts and values.
  
  【講義概要】
  Students will cover theme-based listening(in-class)/reading selections and improve their vocabulary-comprehension skills by covering various exercises. Then， they will work on their critical-thinking skills in small groups before presenting either their own answers to guided questions， group-summaries of their discussions， or by giving short dialogue presentations.
  (Feedback will be given by the instructor on pronunciation and syntax and other aspects.)
  The class will cover a selection of themes in the textbook， continuing from where the spring class finished， or starting the textbook if there are no continuing students. Come to the class， and share your opinions with your classmates.
