  【講座趣旨】
  Each week the teacher will offer materials concerning the topic to be covered. After a short presentation the teacher will open up the topic for discussion with the students. Students may also post questions and comments using the chat function. Students are free to ask questions or make comments on any matters concerning current affairs once the main topic has been completed.

• 講師陣

  名前	Ｊａｍｅｓ　Ｃ．Ｈｏｕｓｅ
  肩書き	明治大学名誉教授
  プロフィール	ロンドン大学で英文学・英語学を学び、ケンブリッジ大学大学院で音声学を学ぶ。来日前は、グラスゴー、エディンバラ、ロンドンにおいて弁論、演劇を教える。劇場やテレビでの俳優活動や、BBCスコットランドでのアナウンサー経験も持つ。1982年に来日し、1984年より明治大学にて教鞭をとる。1993年に明治大学短期大学の助教授、1998年に教授となる。情報コミュニケーション学部教授を経て2018年に退職。明治大学リバティアカデミーで講師を務める。また、喜劇グループ「ザ・ガイジン」の共同創始者でもあり、NHKラジオ英会話講座で8年間出演者を務めた経験も持つ。その他に、高校や大学の教科書の執筆にも携わる。
